Description: On Sale Date Fall 2006 Body Style Four-door SUV Category Sport Utilities Drivetrain Front-wheel drive, Four-wheel drive Engine 3.7-liter 210-horsepower V6 The 2007 Dodge Nitro, the first midsize SUV from Dodge debuted at the 2005 Chicago Auto Show. The distinctively aggressive styling of the Nitro features a signature Dodge crosshair grille, prominent fender flairs, and a high beltline. Along with an interior designed to be functional and flexible, a standard feature for the Nitro SLT and Nitro R/T is the LOAD 'N GO cargo floor that slides 18 inches to the rear for improved loading and unloading. It can hold up to 400 pounds. The 2007 Dodge Nitro will be offered in three versions: Nitro, Nitro SLT and Nitro R/T. The Nitro and Nitro SLT are powered by a 210-horsepower 3.7-liter V6 engine combined with a standard 6-speed manual transmission for Nitro and a standard 4-speed automatic for SLT. The R/T features a 255-horsepower 4.0-liter V6 with a standard 5-speed automatic, as well as performance suspension and 20-inch chrome-clad aluminum wheels. The Nitro will go on sale later in 2006.
