Description: A split shot shows a coral reef beneath a pearl workstation in French Polynesia's Tuamotu Archipelago. The region, a 900-mile (1,450-kilometer) arc of 76 sparsely populated atolls and two islands, is one of the world's primary producers of cultured black pearls. Pearl Station is a DART light rail station located in the City Center District of downtown Dallas, Texas (USA) on Bryan Street, east of Pearl Street. It opened June 14, 1996, and is a station on the Red and Blue Lines, serving the Plaza of the Americas, the Adam's Mark Hotel, 2001 Bryan Tower, the San Jacinto Tower, the Morton H. Meyerson Symphony Center and JPMorgan Chase Tower. Pearl Station was the original northern terminus of the Red and Blue lines before they were extended (Red in 1997 and Blue in 2001).
