Description: Possible reunion Since the band's breakup, there has been frequent speculation about the possibility of a reunion. The probability was discussed by DeLonge and Barker. DeLonge remained pessimistic, while Barker was vague and remarked that they should all want to do it in order for it to happen. In July 2008 the band's producer Jerry Finn, suffered a cerebral hemorrhage, never regaining consciousness. Finn was taken off life support on August 9, 2008 and died on August 21. In September 2008, Travis Barker sustained second and third degree burns to his lower body and torso in a plane crash in Columbia, South Carolina. Barker's personal assistant Chris Baker and three others were killed in the crash. On October 17, Barker was released from the hospital and is expected to make a full recovery. On November 18, 2008, Mark Hoppus posted a message on his blog mentioning the death of Jerry Finn and his friend Chris Baker. He also talked about him, Tom and Travis talking again: In the midst of everything else that has happened lately, tom, travis, and I have all spoken together. First through a number of phone calls, and then a couple of weeks ago we all hung out for a few hours. They¡¯ve all been great, very positive conversations. we¡¯re just reconnecting as friends after four years of not talking. It¡¯s a good thing. Obviously the first question for a lot of people will be ¡°does this mean a blink-182 reunion?¡± The answer is none of us know. We haven¡¯t talked about it at all. Right now it¡¯s just good for the three of us to see one another, reconnect, and let the past be the past. The events of the past two months supersede everything that happened before. Life is too short.
