Description: The story begins in the cellars of Croft Manor where Lara has to escape a fire. Upon entering the main hall, Zip takes a look at her and shoots at her. The game goes back a week in the past, showing Lara in the Mediterranean Sea, searching for a way to Avalon, the mystical underworld of King Arthur, in search for her mother (where at the end of Tomb Raider: Legend Amanda told her she would be). She finds a temple of Norse origin, leading her to believe that Avalon and the Norse underworld of Niflheim are one and the same. She also finds a magical gauntlet, supposedly belonging to the Norse god Thor. Lara is surprised by mercenaries working for Amanda though who take away the gauntlet and leave her to die. After pursuing them to their ship, she meets Natla, who Amanda locked up as a prisoner. They began a discussion in which Natla hints her on how to find Helheim. When the ship sinks, Lara shoots at a fleeing Amanda who drops the gauntlet into the sea in order to distract Lara. She quickly jumps in to get it, letting Amanda escape.
